Destiny 2 Forsaken Will Not Have Heroic Strikes And Prestige Nightfalls

Destiny 2 Forsaken is the upcoming expansion that is supposed to be game-changing. Heroic Strikes and Prestige Nightfalls were a major part of Destiny 2 but they won’t be available in the upcoming expansion. If you were looking to get some specific weapons or gear from those activities then you should do so before Destiny 2 Forsaken is released.

This has been done in order to streamline things and accommodate players that own Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC as well as the players that don’t. The players that don’t buy the Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC will be called Legacy players after the upcoming DLC is announced.

Destiny 2 Forsaken will allow players to reach power level 500 and there will be three Strike difficulties; power level 300, 400 and 500. When a player is 40 levels above the difficulty rating it will be locked to that player and this will make things more challenging and bring players back even months after the Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC is released.

This seems to be a great idea in theory but I will need to play the game in order to see what it is like and would like to hear what other fans have to say regarding the matter. All strikes will have modifiers in order to account for the absence of the heroic difficulty and players that do not own the Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC will be capped at 200 power level strikes.

While Prestige Nightfalls will not be a part of Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC, the regular strikes are going to be even more difficult to complete and this will be challenging. Nightfalls will not be limited to one per week and players will be able to do 3. One from each expansion provided that they have bought them.

The meditation missions are also going to be changed a bit. All planets will have their relevant heroic missions which is another great addition to the game. While the Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC is going to release on September 4th, some of these features will take effect starting August 28th, but do not expect all these new changes to be there. Bungie has to keep some things specific to the Forsaken DLC.

We have also got a look into the Dreaming City and it has been confirmed that there will be a new raid there.

Let us know what you think about the upcoming DLC and whether or not you are interested in playing it when it comes out next month.
