Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition Ships With GameCube Controller

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is releasing for Nintendo Switch this December, adding up to the console’s must-have titles along with Mario Kart 8 and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Take a look at this newly revealed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition before you pre-order the classic edition of the game, since it comes with a GameCube controller to use on your Switch.

Nintendo has announced that GameCube controllers will be compatible with Nintendo Switch a couple of months ago, during Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s promotion campaign during E3 2018. Since then we might have forgotten that this is actually a possibility and didn’t go digging into our childhood stuff, however, the company has us set even for that.

If you are missing a controller for your Nintendo Switch and you intend on buying Super Smash Bros. Ultimate anyways, maybe you should consider grabbing the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition. This package contains a copy of the game, a Nintendo GameCube Controller – Super Smash Bros. edition, and a Nintendo GameCube Controller adapter.

The only bad thing about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition is that it ships with only one controller, meaning that if you want to have friends over for a brawl you’ll have to dig your stuff and find your old ones as well. Don’t worry about them being compatible with the console, as an adapter is also present in this edition, letting you add up to 4 GameCube controllers onto your Nintendo Switch.

There’s no news yet as to how much the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition will cost and whether or not it will be available worldwide. We expect to find out more in the weeks to come.

In related news, the Nintendo Direct that focused on Super Smash Bros Ultimate made a large number of announcements today, announcing new characters, additional content, and still leaving a few questions for us to ask. Among these new characters were Simon and Richter Belmont, two members of Castlevania’s own Belmont family vampire hunters.
