If you have played Uncharted 2 then without any second thought you would recognize the music played, in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Trailer. If it felt similar that’s because it is the same music used in both of the games, apparently.
It’s not only us, fans over the community seem to have been quicker at recognizing this music than anyone else. Like a user who goes by the name, “RobinGaming” took to his twitter account and pointed out the fact that Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Trailer, uses the same percussions from a track that appeared in Uncharted 2, with an only difference of an instrument layered on top in the original version.
Uhm… Did they just actually use Uncharted music for a Tomb Raider trailer? ???https://t.co/oRZJvL9SP6

As if both of these games are not compared enough already, they had to use the same music as well. Frankly speaking, it seems more of a desperate attempt to market the game. Shows how desperately the devs want to manipulate the emotions of the audience, to cater and gain more fans base.
There is no doubt about it, this seems to have been the bell ringer for the Uncharted fans that they can, sill once again have the opportunity to explore those dense jungles, in the form of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. However, that does not change the fact that the devs are desperate for attention, rather than creating their own authentic following.
For instance, not sure if you have heard or not but recently according to Heath Smith, Lead Game designer for upcoming Tomb Raider, Lara Croft will be able to boost her focus by using the herbs, which will slow down time while aiming. Does this sound familiar? It should because this feature, is pretty much same as the one used in Max Payne games.
If that is not enough, then you might find this aspect even more interesting. It seems to be that devs at Square Enix are either threatened or under severe insecurity, by the productions of Naughty Dogs. A little while back the studio head David Anfossi, the studio head of Eidos Montreal tweeted and called Naughty Dogs The Last of Us 2 “Fake”.
Now they are like, using the same music used in Naughty Dogs Uncharted 2. Having said that the legality of using this music is a whole new spectrum. Not sure where they stand on those legal grounds.
What are your thoughts over this? Do you think Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Trailer using the same music used in Uncharted 2 is a desperate attempt by the studio or not? Let us know in the comments below.
