What will you choose? Pizza or Burger? Trump or cancer? Video games or sex? and last but not the least, PUBG or Fortnite? While the answer varies from person to person, we at least now know what Jace ‘Voxsic’ Patras from Pittsburgh Knights thinks about Fortnite and PUBG.
According to him, Fortnite is a great game but PUBG is better in almost every aspect. Speaking in a recent interview, he claimed that PUBG is better than Fortnite. He revealed his choice during PGI 2018, the world’s biggest Battlegrounds tournament where 20 teams are competing.
While he claimed PUBG is better, he didn’t shed much light on why he thinks that way.
I did see one cool concept Fortnite had where the zone goes in the blue and then it shifts to it. Besides that, I think PUBG tops Fortnite in every aspect.
Contrary to what he believes, the fact is that Battlegrounds has been losing its playbase since January 2018. The rise of Fortnite made the community saw how flawed PUBG is. On top of many technical issues, PUBG is plagued with hackers from China. The desktop version isn’t the only one affected by hackers. The mobile version of the game isn’t doing any better.
Meanwhile, developers are busy adding vanity items rather than making efforts to fix the game. Still, PUBG managed to sell 4.7 million copies in June 2018 which should give its player base a boost. PUBG is available on PC, Xbox One X, Android and iOS devices. It is generating a significant amount of revenue from the App Store but it is still falling short of Fortnite.
PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds developers admit that the game has fallen short and isn’t meeting their own expectations. However, they are committed to making it better. Also, they plan to better communicate with the community.
Recently we haven’t done the best job of communicating about the changes we’re making to the game. Today we want to change that by talking in-depth about the things we’re prioritizing.
What becomes of PUBG in the next year or so remains to be seen. But do you think Battlegrounds is better than Fortnite? Let us know in the comments below.
