Devil May Cry 5 was announced at E3 2018 with a trailer which gave us a deeper look at the new characters of the game from Nero, Dante to a mysterious female character named Nico who’s seen helping Nero. Creators have finally opened up about the character and have revealed the plans for her.
Director of Devil May Cry 5, Hideaki Itsuno has revealed that they have created Nico to make her a likable character by everyone and she will also have her own story.
Hideaki Itsuno said:
Nico… well, what do you think? Nico is a character that was brought in to create Nero’s Devil Breaker arm. With her we aimed for a character that everyone would come to like. Despite that there are highly individual opinions about her. But I think when you play the game, you will definitely end up loving her.
Afterward, Hideaki Itsuno was also asked about the third playable character shown in the cover of the game to which he replied by saying that he’s definitely an important character and if you look closer, there’s a reason why he’s not holding any weapons as compared to Nero or Dante. To find out that, we will have to play the game.
The character update system will be similar to the one present in the previous games but it will be further tweaked for Devil May Cry 5 and we will know more about it in the upcoming months.
Devil May Cry 5 is going to deliver photorealistic quality with an aim to support 60 FPS during combat. To achieve this photorealistic quality, developers are using brand new techniques to scan real-life clothes and face models to include it in the game. Do check out the face model of Nero here to see the amazing results of the technology that is being used by Capcom.
If you want to see more of the gameplay then mark your calendars because more Devil May Cry 5 gameplay is coming next month during Gamescom.
