Leaked e-mail Confirms Nvidia GTX 11 Series GPUs Release Date, Also Confirms GTX 1180, GTX 1160 And More

A leaked e-mail between NVIDIA AIC and a retailer has revealed when will next-gen Nvidia GTX 11 series GPUs will be launching.

Nvidia seems to be in no mood for revealing when its next-gen GPUs will be coming to the market. However, a leaked e-mail between NVIDIA AIC and a retailer has revealed when will next-gen Nvidia GTX 11 series GPUs will be launching.

The leaked e-mail not only reveals when next-gen Nvidia GTX 11 series GPUs will be releasing but also mentions names of the GPUs including GeForce GTX 1180, the GeForce GTX 1170, Geforce GTX 1160 and an interestingly named GeForce GTX 1180+, which might be GTX 1180 Ti.

According to the leaked e-mail, the much-anticipated next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180, will be available on August 30, 2018. A month after that, Nvidia will launch GTX 1170, and the GTX 1180+ on September 30th and the GTX 1160 will be out in October 2018.

Speaking of the GPUs, for past couple of years HDR has been pushed by console manufacturers and GPU manufacturers in video games. However, turns out Nvidia GPU’s performance suffer while rendering games with HDR.

According to tests, the Nvidia GTX 1080 saw an average of 10% drop in performance while Destiny 2 saw a drop of 20% in performance with HDR rendering enabled.

On the other hand, AMD GPUs are much more capable of rendering games with HDR enabled and the impact on the performance is negligible.

Also, according to a report, GPU prices have gone down an additional 18%. According to the report, GPU prices went down between 8% and 18% depending on the GPU.

With GPU prices being high, the GPU sales might be low, however, this will present a problem for the consumers as currently a bulk of current-gen GPUs are still in the market and AMD and Nvidia will not launch their next-gen GPUs before clearing out the stock for the current-gen GPUs.

However, thanks to GeForce Partner Program(GPP) GPU prices have increased for just an AREZ rebrand.

According to report, ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX Vega 64 is priced at USD $589.99 while the AREZ Strix Radeon RX Vega 64 is priced at $749.99. This is a $160 premium for just a simple rebrand for a GPU.
