Watch the Amazing Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 7 Comic Con Trailer

The iconic animated series is all set to make its come back with Season 7 of Star Wars The Clone Wars following the trailer announcement made at SDCC. Although the trailer might have sprung out as a surprise but the Star Wars fan-base was certainly thrilled to see their favorite characters like Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Rex back in The Clone Wars series.

Star Wars The Clone Wars last appeared on screens at Netflix in 2014 for the sixth season ever since it was withdrawn from Cartoon Network in 2013. However, season 6 was not as long as the installments before besides that it also couldn’t answer enough questions about the whole plot presented by the Supervising Director, Dave Filoni. Now the upcoming season is going to feature a set of 12 new episodes to be watched online.

The trailer of the seventh season seems to be picking up the narrative somewhere from the beginning of Revenge of the Sith. As we saw in the trailer Anakin and Obi-Wan come to take their random Hologram call only to come across Ahsoka, Anakin’s earlier Padawan and Bo-Katan Kryze the Mandalorian combatant. This encounter makes one recall their union with after the Siege of Mandalore from the novel Ahsoka Tano.

Close to the conclusion of that infamous battle Anakin and Obi-Wan are ordered away to salvage Chancellor Palpatine from General Grievous. Anakin along with Obi-Wan left with Ahsoka in charge of his clone troopers 501st legion.

The Ahsoka Tano novel was started in this scenario where Ahsoka is holding the command single-handedly while Anakin and Obi-Wan set out on their mission. However, without any confirmation of the plot, we cannot yet presume that the storyline of Star Wars The Clone Wars will be continuing in this direction from season 7.
