South Park Fractured But Whole DLC Now Has Release Date, July 31

You might have seen the giant wall on the border of Canada in South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and now you might finally be getting the opportunity to go through it with the first true story South Park Fractured But Whole DLC, which will be coming out on July 31.

The DLC, called Bring the Crunch, will bring the player character and the South Park gang to summer camp, where they’ll team up with a new character called Mint Berry Crunch to find out what’s happened to the camp’s various counselors in what appears to be a send up to Friday the 13th, as the Fractured but Whole DLC will be coming with a new hero class: Final Girl, a textbook slasher movie term.

While the abilities that are coming with this new class haven’t been revealed yet, we can at least expect one short yet fun bit of hilarity as the main characters do their best to try and create a superhero movie franchise. This will be the first truly story-related DLC that we’ve had in either of the South Park RPGs that we’ve had in the past several years, as all of the others were various costumes or in the case of Fractured But Whole, a combat arena.

The new Fractured But Whole DLC will be coming out on July 31 for the fairly low price of $11.99, but if you’ve already bought the game’s season pass, you’ll be able to pick up all of the DLC, including this one, for free.

It’s likely that there will be other bits of South Park: The Fractured But Whole DLC in the future, but whether or not they’ll actually bring down that wall in Canada remains to be seen. But in the meantime you only have to wait a few more weeks until you can head off to camp for a bit.
