Fallout 76: Map Of West Virginia Has 6 Different Regions To Explore

Fallout 76 is the next game in the franchise that has its own twist. While we know that you will be able to play with your friends and that the open world will be shared, we still do not have much information regarding the map of Fallout 76. What we can tell you is that West Virginia has 6 different regions that you can explore and here we are going to look at the confirmed places that you will be able to go to.

Fallout 76: Map Of West Virginia

Todd Howard has confirmed that the map of Fallout 76 is 4 times bigger than that of Fallout 4. Not only is the map bigger but the different regions will have their own look and feel. This is something very interesting and even though there is little that we know about these regions, this is something that we are looking forward to. The following are the different regions in Fallout 76: map of West Virginia and all the confirmed locations of each region.

Fallout 76: Map Of West Virginia

Ash Heap

The Ash Heap region is full of hollow mountains. These mountains are full of mines. We have seen industrial excavators in one of the trailers of Fallout 76 and that part is most likely footage of the Ash Heap region. Other parts of the region are full of chemicals that might have leaked from different factories. We also know that Vault 63 is located here. Locations that have been confirmed in this region are as follows:

  • Beckley (City)
  • Welch (City)
  • Lewisburg (City)
  • Bramwell (City)
  • Vault 63
  • Mount Blair
  • Lake Reynolds
  • Charleston Landfill
  • Charleston Fire Dept
  • Mount Blair Trainyard
  • Burning Mine
  • Big Bend
  • The Rusty Pick
  • Joe’s Spuckies (Beckley)
  • Relay Tower 3
  • Relay Tower 5

Cranberry Bog

This region has only been seen for minor seconds in the trailers and from what we have seen, the region is a mutated form of Cranberry Glades. While there is little that we know about this location, it is highly likely that we will find mutated plant life here. A Nuclear missile silo is the only location that is confirmed in this region, so far.

The Forest

This is what seems to be the starting area of Fallout 76. Vault 76 opens in the Forest region and if you have seen the different trailers then you must have grown accustomed to it now. Unlike the other regions, this region seems to have been unscathed by the great war as we do not see signs of radiation here. You can expect to see low-level enemies here. The locations confirmed for this region are as follows:

  • Charleston (City)
  • Point Pleasant (City)
  • Morgantown (City)
  • Summersville (City)
  • White Sulphur Springs (City)
  • Flatwoods (Town)
  • Vault 76
  • Vault-Tec University (Morgantown)
  • Morgantown Trainyard
  • Morgantown Municipal Airport
  • Mama Dolce’s Food Processing (Morgantown)

  • Summersville Mansion
  • Charleston Trainyard
  • Nuka Cola Quantum Plant
  • AVR Medical Center (Charleston)
  • Mothman Museum (Point Pleasant)
  • Uncanny Caverns
  • New River Gorge Bridge
  • Alpine River Cabins

Fallout 76

The Mire

This is a swampy region and while little is known about the place at this time this region is home to Watoga and Harper’s Ferry. The following are the confirmed locations for this region:

  • Watoga (City)
  • Harpers Ferry (Town)
  • Valley Galleria
  • Nuclear missile silo (name unknown)

Savage Divide

This region comprises of a mountainous desert, it is possible that this will be like the landscape of Fallout: New Vegas and will most likely be the most difficult region to cross. The following are the locations that have been confirmed for this region:

  • Top of the World Ski Resort
  • Greenbank
  • Nuclear missile silo (name unknown)

Toxic Valley

While some areas of the Fallout 76 map has got very few promotional details, this region has got none at all and remains a mystery at this point in time. The only thing that we know about this region is that there is a crashed space station in this region. This is very interesting indeed and we are waiting for more information regarding the Toxic Valley, so stay tuned to SegmentNext.
