Nintendo Switch games library has been increasing steadily, more games are added or announced every day. Here is what you need to know.

Nintendo Switch has been very successful since it first came out. Analysts predicted that the Nintendo Switch needed a strong lineup of games in order to become successful and that is what we got. Nintendo Switch games library has been increasing steadily, more games are added or announced every day.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a console seller followed by other Nintendo titles like Mario Cart. Since then we have seen plenty of third-party games come out for the Nintendo Switch and there are more in development. Some of the most renowned titles that have come to the Nintendo Switch are Doom, Rocket League, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Fornite. Skyrim has also been released for the Nintendo Switch and Warframe is being developed for the console as we speak.

Since the Nintendo Switch first came out, more than 900 games have been released on the console. The device has got a lot of attention since it came out and the portability factor is the main reason why people love the device. There is no doubt in my mind that even more games are going to be coming to the console in the future. The following are the publishers that have published the most number of games on the Nintendo Switch:

Panic Button is one of the developers that have mastered the art of porting games to the device and technical director Andy Boggs talked about optimization and development of games for the device and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

It always feels like we’re squeezing every last drop out of the hardware when heads down into the project, but after the games ship, we always wind up taking a breath and looking back and saying ‘what if we tried this…’ or ‘I bet we could have optimized ’, and then we try those things the next time. There’s always something else you can optimize.

The upcoming Xbox and PS5 will be way ahead of the Switch in terms of performance and graphics and you might think that will hinder the development of games for the Switch but that is not the case. Nintendo has never competed with the rest of these devices on the basis of horsepower or graphics.
