The July PS Plus games are here, allowing players who own the Playstation Plus subscription on Playstation Network to pick and choose games that they can get onto their Playstation console of choice for free. This month includes games like Absolver, Heavy Rain, Rayman 3, and more on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita.
For the Playstation 4 we have a number of games of different genres. Absolver is an interesting online game where you play as a martial artist attempting to become part of an order of monks known as Guides, battling players and NPC enemies as you traverse a ruined land. Heavy Rain is a Quantic Dream narrative game where you play four different characters all attempting to uncover the mystery of the sinister Origami Killer.
The other two games for the Playstation 4 are available on cross-buy, including Extreme Exorcism (a platformer that takes you through ten areas of a haunted house to fight ghosts) and Space Overlords (where you play the titular Space Overlord as they go on a rampage across the galaxy.
Extreme Exorcism and Space Overlords are also available on the Playstation 3, and the July PS Plus games for that console include Rayman 3, another entry in a classic platformer series.
Finally, for the Playstation Vita, we also have a version of Space Overlords, but the other game on it is an original one, Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, which follows a number of different people locked in an underground facility, who must all try and survive until six are killed to open the escape hatch.
Most of the July PS Plus games are all fairly well-received, and if you’re on the fence about buying Detroit: Become Human and want to see how David Cage normally writes, you can try out Heavy Rain for free if you have Playstation Plus. Either way, you only have a few weeks to pick at least a few of these up, depending on what Playstation consoles you own.
