The executive vice president at Ubisoft Canada, Lionel Raynaud, has shared a very unique piece of information. It seems Ubisoft aims to add multiple timelines to future Assassins Creed games.
Yes, you read that right, the future Assassins Creed games just might feature multiple historic timelines. At the moment its just a thought process, but the company does aim to introduce that feature, according to Raynaud. Bear in mind that this addition won’t be happening, at least until the next-gen Assassins Creed.
We all see a future where a game will stay [post-launch], and new experiences will come in the games”,”We would be able to – in the same world – have several historical periods, for instance, in Assassin’s Creed, and use the Animus to travel from one to the other.
What this translates into is that, not only will the players be able to jump across multiple locations in the Assassins Creed Universe, but fans can certainly expect to see a similar feature in other Ubisoft games, like Watch Dogs and Fry Cry. At the moment, it’s more of a Raynaud’s idea but there certainly is a high possibility.
As you may already know that, in the previous Assassins Creed games, we have seen a lot of various locations and many different places, like Rome, Carrabian Sea, Ancient Egypt but never have we seen a marriage of multiple places, in one single game.
It really is something unique, if Ubisoft manages to execute it in the Future Assassins Creed Games, it could perhaps be a revolutionary feature that every AAA developer would want to execute.
Be that as it may, for now, take this very lightly, there is a lot of time before we actually see it happening. Meanwhile, we have the Assassins Creed Odyessy set in Ancient Greece, so that will certainly be a trip worth a while.
