Hideo Kojima Discusses Death Stranding, It’s Like A Math Problem

Hideo Kojima is one of the most respected developers in the gaming industry and recently he’s been in the spotlight because of his upcoming game ”Death Stranding”.

Death Stranding is a mysterious game and no one knows much about it but there’s a reason for it. It’s Hideo Kojima’s first work after leaving Konami. The gameplay of Death Stranding was shown at E3 which involved making deliveries but still, it’s not something we are very clear about.

Yes surely, everyone is taking clues out of the whole gameplay video which is intentional from the maker of Metal Gear Solid. In a recent interview, Kojima talked about the game in details and he explained that Death Stranding still remains an enigma in order to entertain the people.

Hideo Kojima said:

We live in a time of social networks,” Kojima said. “In this time, people just want immediate answers, but not only answers, they also want to know what they feel. This is good, this is bad. This is a game I should like. This is a game I shouldn’t like. They want answers for what they should think. It’s like a math problem, where knowing the answer is not that important,” he said. “The important thing is the process of getting to the answer.

Kojima believes that publicity driven approach to a game is a very bad idea. He mentioned that it’s like a math problem where everyone is trying to get answers but the answer is not important, instead the process is.

According to him, advertising recreations is a missed opportunity and it takes away the fun from the players by revealing too much about the game which he doesn’t want to do.

Hideo Kojima is known for his work in the past and Death Stranding looks quite promising so if you didn’t get to understand the game yet don’t worry it’s worth waiting for.
