In the Cyberpunk 2077 World, CD Projekt Red has taken a very different and unique take on Retro Futurism.
The star musician, seen in the trailer of the game, Lizzy Wizzy’s appearance and the main character V’s jacket seem to depict that unique take.
If you have seen Lizzy then you may remember her by the unique mohawk and her chrome colored skin, walking down the red carpet in the trailer. What we know so far is that she is a controversial woman, and is the member of a band called Lizzy Wizzy and the Metadwarves.
Although the developers have not gone into much details about her, from what we know so far, she does give a retro punk futurist vibe, in a unique way.
Moving on to the music of the game, Cyberpunk 2077 World has an intense take on the music. Using a blend of electronica, punk rock, and progressive rock, this game really weird things up but all in a cool way. If you remember the music feel of Cyberpunk 2020 it also had a similar take on retro-futurism. Hopefully, Cyberpunk 2077 captures the same spirit.
The V’s jacket you may have observed has the word “Samurai” on the collar and on the back has a freaky, uni robotic and devilish face, which makes the Cyberpunk 2077 World’s take on the retro-futurism all the more unique.
Keeping all that into context, for those who understand this uniqueness in the game, would like to see non-binary gender options in the game as well, because they know if anyone has the nerve to pull this off, it is definitely CD Projekt RED.
