Here we will discus all of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy errors along with their fixes and workaround so that you can play the game without any problem.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy FPS Drop, Green Screen And Fixes

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is basically the collection of the remastered versions of the original Crash Bandicoot games with updated graphics. The game originally launched for PS4 and is now available for PC and Nintendo Switch.

The following are the errors and issues that players have been experiencing along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Game Doesn’t Launch, Crashes At Launch

Being a PC version of the game, this issue is bound to pop up for some players and the PC version of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is no exception.

Players have reported that the game doesn’t launch and in some cases the game gets stuck at the Activision loading screen and even if it does, all they see is the black screen. For some users, the game just crashes after Activision loading screen.

The issue might be related to your GPU driver. If you haven’t updated the driver then it is probably a good time to do so. Updating the GPU driver to the latest version and the issue should resolve. If you are already using updated version of the GPU driver then try installing an older version of the game.

The issue might also be related to the user making some changes to the game’s resolution through Steam of Nvidia control panel. Just turn off all of the commands and also turn off DSR from Nvidia control panel if you are using it. This should resolve your issue.

Black Screen

This is another one of the issue that players have been experiencing. According to users, when they start the game they only see black screen while they can hear music in the background.

The solution to this problem is very simple. Just start the game and when the black screen appears just press “ALT + Enter” and the game will go into the Windowed mode and you will be able to see the game.

Now go to the video settings and change the game’s resolution to your display’s native resolution and you will be able to play the game in Fullscreen mode.

FPS Drop Fix, FPS Lock Fix

PC version of the game has be optimized for almost countless configurations. However, despite that for some reason the game struggles to run at locked 60 FPS on PC and such is the case with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Players have reported that the game runs doesn’t run well on their 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and 165 Hz monitors and the FPS drop is quite significant.

The reason why you are experiencing such frame rate drops is that the game is designed for 60 FPS and doesn’t play well on FPS higher than that. So basically you need to lock your monitor’s refresh rate to 60 Hz from the video settings.

Those who have been experiencing stuttering and FPS drops below 60 FPS, they need to check if there is an unnecessary program running in the background and using HDD and CPU. If it is running then end the program so that you can play the game at sooth FPS.

Also check if the game is running on your dedicated GPU as sometimes the system doesn’t shift to dedicated GPU and renders the game on the integrated GPU which causes FPS drops and stuttering.

You can also disable your integrated GPU and only use the dedicated GPU so that you won’ have ti change every time you run a game. However, you need to do that from the BIOS.

Another thing you can do to improve the game’s performance if you own a GTX 900 GPU or GTX 10 series GPU. Open up Nvidia control panel and select “Manage 3d Settings”.

Now select “Program Settings” and select the game from the drop down list. Now go through the options and look for V-sync and set it to Fast. This will potentially eliminate all stuttering and FPS drops from the game.

Green Screen Fix, Flicker Fix

To resolve the Green screen flickering, open up the Nvidia Control Panel and select “Change Resolution” under “Display”. Here check the “Use Nvidia Color Setting” and select the “Highest (32-Bit)” for Desktop Color depth and the issue should never bother you again.

Audio Fix, No Surround Sound Fix

Some players have reported that the game isn’t outputting surround sound despite using 7.1 channel headphones. To fix this issue, go to playback devices and select “Configure”, here select the audio channel of your headphone or speakers and press next and the issue should resolve.

As for the audio stuttering or buzzing sound issue, open up playback devices and select your default audio device and open up properties and go the “Advanced Tab”. Here will be a drop-down menu with a lot of audio options, You will have to do a trial and error and one of the options should resolve the audio stuttering and audio buzzing issue.
