Nvidia is not talking about its next-gen GPUs and intends to keep things that way for now. However, leaks and rumors have suggested that next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180 will launch this fall. Now it seems that Nvidia will be revealing its next-gen GPUs at Gamescom 2018 as Nvidia has started to send out invitations for the event.

According to Videocardz, sources have revealed it to them that Nvidia has started to send out invitations to journalist for Gamescom 2018.

Gamescom is a gaming event which focuses on new and upcoming titles. Nvidia allegedly sending out invitations to the press indicates that it plans to reveal something big like its Nvidia GTX 1180 and other next-gen GPUs.

However, there is a chance that Nvidia might be sending out these invitations for a game reveal event as Nvidia also sent out invitations to some Youtubers for E3 2018. However, until it is confirmed, we can only speculate.

Speaking of the next-gen GPUs, PCB for the next-gen Nvidia GPU leaked online recently. According to the leak, the next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180 features 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with 384-bit memory bus interface and three 384-bit memory bus interface.

Following the leak, PC enthusiasts took the opportunity and analyzed the leaked PCB and found that GTX 1180 Ti die is 40% larger than GTX 1080 Ti.

However, the 40% increased die size doesn’t result in 40% increased performance and it will be interesting to see how much of performance boost Nvidia will bring to the table with its next-gen GPUs.

Furthermore, Nvidia has announced that world’s top 5 AI supercomputer are powered by NVIDIA Tensor Core. Not only that, 5 out of 7 world’s best Supercomputers are now powered by GPUs.
