The Fortnite Playground Mode has recently been disabled so that the matchmaking issue could be fixed in the game. Very recently players started to notice problems with the matchmaking, shortly after the servers went live, following the 4.5 game update. However, as always Epic Games was quick to respond and they held the emergency maintenance. Once the players were settled in and calm, the Playground Mode was disabled.
Having said that, Epic Games has not given an ETA on when the Fortnite Playground Mode might make a return, but according to the developers, the issue is being worked on and as soon as it is resolved, they will let you guys know.
On the official forum of Fornite, the developers said,
“We know you want to get back out to the Playground LTM. We’ve got multiple teams working to get this mode back into your hands so you can let your imaginations run wild.
We want to inform you that the Playground LTM will remain closed for repairs for the night. We’ll have more information available tomorrow.”
Hopefully, this issue will soon get resolved and everything will be back to normal. Probably then Epic Games will let the players know about the issue, what was causing the matchmaking problems and such.
With all that said, recently an interesting survey was conducted regarding Fortnite, which revealed some really interesting results. The survey sought to see the spending habits of the frequent Fortnite players.
Turns out, about 68% of players have purchased in-game content of Fortnite while among those, one in five spenders have been completely unaware of the fact that spending in-game content, did not earn them an advantage in the arena.
That said, Fortnite Battle Royale is free to play and is available across PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS.
