EVGA Introduces Two Variants Of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 With 3 GB VRAM, Brings Increased Base Clock And More

About a month ago Nvidia officially introduced is 3 GB variant of GTX 1050 with specs quite close to 1050 Ti. Now, EVGA has introduced two variants of the 3 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.

These two variants of the 3 GB GTX 1050, GeForce GTX 1050 Gaming 03G and the GeForce GTX 1050 SC Gaming 03G, don’t bring much new to the table. However, the GeForce GTX 1050 SC Gaming 03G comes with the increased base frequency of 1455 MHz and boost frequency of 1569 MHz.

Other than the frequency, both EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 features similar specs with 3GB of 7008MT/s GDDR5 memory, 84 GB/s memory bandwidth and more.

As for the price, the GTX 1050 Gaming 03G is available for $160 while the GTX 1050 SC Gaming 03G is available for $170. Check out the specs for both EVGA GTX 1050 below.

GTX 1050 Gaming 03G

  • 1392 MHz base clock
  • 1518 MHz boost clock
  • 66.8 GT/s texture fill rate
  • 3 GB GDDR5 memory
  • 7008 MHz memory clock
  • 84 GB/s memory bandwidth

GeForce GTX 1050 SC Gaming 03G

  • 1455 MHz base clock
  • 1569 MHz. boost clock
  • 66.8 GT/s texture fill rate
  • 3 GB GDDR5 memory
  • 7008 MHz memory clock

Speaking of Nvidia GPUs, while the company has been tight-lipped about its next-gen GPUs but PCB for the next-gen GTX 1180 has been leaked online.

According to the leak, the upcoming GTX 1180 will feature 12 GB of GDDR 6 VRAM, 384-bit memory bus interface and three 8-pin power connectors.

Next-Gen Nvidia GPU PCB

Following the leak, enthusiasts took the chance to analyze the leaked PCB for the next-gen Nvidia GPU and came with an estimate that GTX 1180 Ti die is 40% larger than GTX 1080 Ti.

However, the 40% increased die size doesn’t result in 40% increased performance and it will be interesting to see how much of performance boost Nvidia will bring to the table with its next-gen GPUs.
