Apparently, Nintendo Switch players can expect Dark Souls Remastered on August 1, according to an Amazon Italy listing for the Dark Souls Remastered Switch release date. While we don’t know if it’s true or not, it’s at least something to hope for with Dark Souls fans on the console waiting anxiously.
Dark Souls Remastered is a next-gen port of the original Dark Souls, which truly put From Software on the map and brought in the Soulsborne franchise and the Soulslike genre, the latter of which has now become a label for a large number of games that make it a point to be very difficult in terms of gameplay.
Dark Souls Remastered came out on May 24 for the PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4, but there’s no telling of when the Dark Souls Remastered Switch release date may be. The date currently is sometime in the third quarter of this year, but that’s still not much of an idea. The third quarter of the year could be anywhere from June to September, therefore it could technically come out at any point this summer.
If Amazon Italy’s listed Dark Souls Remastered Switch release date turns out to be accurate and we will be seeing the game on August 1, then it will still be the third quarter of this year, but sometimes retailer leaks turn out to be wrong, or are just placeholders before a more concrete release date. So for all we know the game might not be coming out on August 1, but it might still be coming out in August, or even earlier than that.
Either way, we’ll update you on the Dark Souls Remastered Switch release date when it becomes available, if it turns out to be not be the actual release date. But otherwise, you can buy the Dark Souls Remastered game on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
