You Can Play Missions Solo In Anthem But There Won’t Be Any AI Controlled Assistance

Anthem is BioWare’s biggest and latest game for which everyone is hyped for. Details have been scarce about the upcoming sci-fi RPG game but thanks to EA Play 2018, a lot of information has been made public.

At E3 2018, a lot of information about the game was shared by the executive producer of Anthem, Mark Darrah. These questions about the game didn’t stop even after the event as he’s been busy on Twitter lately answering the curious fans.

Mark Darrah, in a response to someone has revealed that players can play missions alone but in free-play, others will be present too. Other user asked about will there be teams when playing missions or not, Darrah made it clear by saying “No. The question was specifically about IF you play a mission solo. Missions are designed for 4. You can play with 1-4.”

Now this means that you can play missions with up to 4 players or solo if you want to do it alone. Also when you choose to play alone there will be no AI controlled teammates with you as found in previous BioWare games. Players did get confused after watching the trailer for Anthem which always showed a squad.

You will be able to make your own squad, however, by sending invites to your friends with an invite system in the game and squad matchmaking.

It’s also confirmed by Mark Darrah on Twitter that there will be no aerial duels with enemy Javelins.

Speaking of Javelin, there are four different types of Javelin Exo Suits available in the game which are Ranger, Colossus, Interceptor, and Storm. It’s totally up to you to use what you want depending on your needs and requirements in the mission.

Anthem is scheduled to release on February 22, 2019, for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
