If anything else, Microsoft spared no expense when it showcased Gears 5 at its E3 presentation. Introducing the audience with fascinating details really took a spin over the fans. They seem to have laid a solid groundwork for the game and now, it was a perfect time to roll out a kind of information, that would really capture the vibe and apparently, it has. Just yesterday, a new Gears 5 Character was revealed and alongside a new version of an old weapon.
On the official Twitter account for the Gears of War series a new Gears 5 Character, who goes by the name “Fahz Chutani” has been revealed alongside an image to put a face to the character. The post introduces Fahz Chutiani to be joining this amazing game and what he seems to be holding, appears to have been the real catch in the Tweet. It seems like he is holding tightly on the new version of Lancer Rifle.

Aside from this reveal, nothing else has been poured out so at this moment this is pretty much it, but it definitely is enough to digest for a few days perhaps. Hopefully, they will roll out more interesting details about Gears 5 soon enough.
Having said that, let’s address the question which everyone has been dying to know the answer to. That is right, if you have been wondering why suddenly Gears Of War 5 name has been changed to Gears 5, then you are in luck because the studio head Rod Fergusson has answered that question.
According to him, the intentions of the studio to invest in the growth of this amazing franchise was the sole reason, for shortening the name of this fifth installment to the Gears of War series.
Apparently, this makes it easy to refer to the game, like Gears Pop, Gears Tactics & Gears 5, which makes it easy to market.
