The Assassin class may very well seem the most exciting from all of the classes at a first glance and let me assure that that is the case. However, it is also one of the most difficult classes to play due to its very high skill ceiling. The fact that you will be useless unless you are able to react very fast to changing circumstance and follow this Realm Royale Assassin Guide.
Our Realm Royale Assassin Guide will lay down all of the basics of the Assassin class so that you have a foundation to build upon and are aware of all of the build paths in the current meta of the game.
Realm Royale Assassin
Before we begin, it is important to remember that the majority of your abilities will be based around stealth and movement mechanics. FI you are planning to go all out in the game and take every single firefight that there is and then this is definitely not the class for you. Assassins need to embrace finesse and ensure that they are seen as little as possible through the course of the battle.
Let us go ahead and take a look at how to maximize your impact when playing as an Assassin. Whether you are playing solo or with a group of friends, these tips and tricks will be imperative to success in Realm Royale. Let us start with the General Tips before moving to weapons and then to the abilities and builds.
First of all, it is important that you understand how useful Blink can be. It does not have the range that you would find in the Warrior or the Mage class, but it is best for confusing heaps of enemies.
Doing this in a squad battle can be all the difference between life and death as you can simply ensure that the enemies are not aware of what is going on half of the time due to its use. You can simply take a shot, blink through them and take another shot.
Blink can also be used to get to a ledge higher up. This can be used both aggressively and defensively. One interesting combo that you can do is to use Blink to get high up and then easily line up a Concussion Bomb followed up by a shot from your Legendary Weapon. That should be enough to run rings around the enemy.
The Concussion Bomb works very similar to the Impact Grenade in Fortnite, so players who have played that game will already have a fairly good idea on how to use it. Try to learn how to use it to boost yourself forward for those flashy plays.
Your Legendary Weapon is the infamous Sniper Rifle. You get 1 shot to kill the enemy, it does exactly 1100 damage when it lands and you can fire a single shot each second. It does have a bit of a Bullet Lag that is quite customary with games of the genre so you may need to lead the target at long ranges. The weapon is very accurate even when you are not scoped in which is a very surprising factor.
One of the simplest ways to finish off an enemy is to hit a shot with your sniper and then quickly move in for the kill. 1100 damage is more than enough to make an enemy vulnerable to even the most basic of all weapons so you should not have any trouble finishing him off once you have a hit with the sniper.
Lastly, remember that even though the bullets in the game have travel distance and they will need time to get to the enemy, they do not seem to have any drop at all. This means that you do not need to aim above the enemy at long distances like you would in realistic shooters.
Abilities and Build Paths
As is the case with most classes, there seem to be 2 popular Build Paths that everyone is following for maximum effect in the battle zone. For the assassin, either you can go the route of taking the Concussion Bomb with the Ghost Walk or you can go for the stealth build by using the Ghost Walk and the Smoke Screen.
For the Concussion Bomb and the Ghost Walk method, this is the standard build for this class and it will suffice for the majority of the players. It gives you a lot of mobility but a fair bit of damage at the same time. It fits in perfectly with your Legendary Weapon as well.
All you need to do is to knock someone in the air in a predictable manner and then hit them with your Sniper Rifle. When you do that, you will already have whittled away a vast majority of their health or killed them. Even if you have not, you can use the Ghost Walk to get up close and finish the job once and for all.
The second build is a lot stealthier. This means that this is a much more difficult to pull this build off but it may lead to greater rewards when done properly, especially in a team setting where you can quietly take down an enemy to have the numbers advantage before perusing the rest of the gang.
In this build, you go for the Ghost Walk that can be used both for escaping and for entering. Apart from that, you pick up the Smoke Screen that is once again used to hide you. This means that you will be darting in and out of tight situations all day long with this build since you can use one ability to move in, fire a shot with your rifle and then use the other ability to move out without taking any major damage.
