The longtime running NHL series may not be completely out of the woods just yet, after making a poor debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back on 2014. Although it has somewhat regained some standing, still it is not gliding smoothly on ice. All that just might change because EA has just announced, the NHL 19 Cover Athlete alongside a trailer.
Turns out the Nashville Predators, Norris Trophy-winning defenseman, and the Olympic gold-medalist, P.K. Subban is the NHL 19 Cover Athlete.
Talking about being the cover athlete for the game and what an honor it is, Subban said,
“Growing up, and still to this day, my friends and I love seeing who is on the cover and ultimately getting to play the game. Being the cover athlete for NHL 19, for me, represents growth within our sport, embracing different personalities, and showing that anything is possible. I’m honored to be able to sport the Smashville colors on this year’s cover.”
Other revealed details include the release date of the game, that has been announced in the latest trailer of the game and character customizations. You would be glad to know that players can create characters, which include over new 900 plus customization items.
Aside from that, as you may get a glimpse from the trailer as well that, the animation is going to be cutting edge delivered by Real Player Motion (RPM) Tech. RPM Tech provides the players with more control, improved acceleration and better response time, as the players move up and down the ice.
Having said that, the most interesting part about this upcoming game is that it lets you compete against, over 200 of the greatest legends in the ice hockey sport. They have also dropped in two new modes, NHL ONES, and Pro-Am.
Hopefully this time EA will be able to restore the lost enthusiasm, with this new addition to the series.
That said, NHL 19 is scheduled to roll out on September 14, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
