There Will Be No Aerial Duels With Enemy Javelins In Anthem, Says The Executive Producer Mark Darrah

The executive producer of the upcoming action RPG Anthem,┬áMark Darrah was asked a question, that will we get into aerial duels with rivals javelins? To which he took to his Twitter account and gave a simple, defining one-word answer, “No”. This seems to have added more to the speculation process regarding Anthem, since fans are very much interested in getting into the aerial duel fights, with rivals.

Anthem was BioWare’s star of EA’s conference at E3 2018, recently. Alongside the trailer, we learned quite a few details about this upcoming game.

A lot of questions were answered by BioWare’s Casey Hudson, Mark Darrah, and Cathleen Rootsaert, mainly focusing on the story of the game. So what we know so far is that players will be playing characters referred to as Freelancers, who must defend their civilization against the rising disasters and a rival group known as the Dominion.

What really caught the attention was the fact that, players will be piloting exosuits know as Javelins. Using the javelins, they will embark on a great many missions with friends in the open world of the game. Now what this had most of the fans thinking was, will they be getting into aerial duels with rivals Javelins?

Apparently, the answer is a clear-cut, “No’, this has had a lot of fans annoyed as well, since after seeing the trailer and the gameplay, fans have had a lot of expectations, especially regarding the aerial fights.

Perhaps, BioWare has something else in mind. That said, not sure if you have heard or not, the game director, Johnathon Warner, recently shared that they are looking at adding weekly resets, challenges and special missions every now and then, which is itself a mode of excitement for the fans.

Be that as it may, Anthem is scheduled to roll out on February 22, 2019, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
