Picking Up The Assist Trophy In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Will Bring Bomberman On Stage

As soon as we saw the gameplay footage of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at E3 2018, we were assured that the game will not be disappointing. The fact that it runs smoothly and differently on Switch, compared to previous consoles was a big assurance. Addition of new moves and abilities are just tip of the iceberg, a lot of new details have been revealed lately regarding the game. Among which they have shed light on the character referred to as Boomerman.

In the recent Super Smash Bros. blog post, Boomerman seems to have gathered a lot of attention, in which we got to know how the explosive Assist Trophy will work.

Bomberman will be featured as an Assist Trophy rather than as a playable character. When the players pick up the assist trophy item during the battle, they will give Bomberman a chance, to dash on the stage in order to assist the player.

As you can guess Bomberman is the explosives expert, who will lay down a bomb which will then explode in his unique cross-shaped style.

Having said that, you would be relieved to know that recently, they have been regularly updating on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate blog. So we can be hopeful that we shall be hearing more details about the game.

If you would remember, updating the fans on regular basis in the upcoming game, is something that Nintendo has done in the past, with a few Smash game launches as well. Providing the fans with a new snippet of information on specific stages, item and characters.

Since Super Smash Bros. is in development by Bandai Namco and isn’t due until December 7, 2018, we can expect to hear more on the official blog post of the game.
