Nvidia’s next-gen GPUs are nowhere near to be announced as Nvidia itself has noted that next-gen GPUs are a while off from now. However, there have been many leaks, rumors and speculations regarding next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180 and now Power Logic has noted that next-gen Nvidia GPUs will be available in Q3 2018.
Speaking with DigiTimes, Power Logic chairman Hsu Wen-Fang noted that next-gen Nvidia GX 1180 will launch in Q3 of 2018. For those who don’t know, Power Logic is the leading manufacturer of cooling fans for GPUs and gaming PCs.
While Hsu Wen-Fang didn’t name any AIB partners in the interview but given that they manufacture colling fans for GPU manufacturers such as EVGA, which indicates that Power Logic might be privy to product launch timelines.
According to the Hsu Wen-Fang, the company’s revenue is expected to soar due to a buy order from one the Nvidia’s AIB partners during Q3 of 2018 which indicates that Nvidia will be rolling out its next-gen GPUs in Q3 2018.
This falls in line with the previous report that next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180 will roll out either in August 2018 or September 2018.
According to the report, several of Nvidia’s AIB partners have confirmed that next-gen Nvidia GPUs will roll out in August 2018 during Computex 2018.
Not only that, the report suggests that the next-gen Nvidia GTX 1180 will be expensive compared to GTX 1080Ti. Furthermore, the report suggests that the next-gen Nvidia GPU might not be called GTX 1180 and will use different numbers.
Furthermore, Stuart Oberman will be talking at Hot Chips 30 about the Next Generation Mainstream GPUs from Nvidia. The presentation will take place on August 20th, 2018, which might indicate that Nvidia will be rolling out its next-gen GPUs, presumably GTX 1180 or GTX 2080, by then.
