Two of the biggest takeaways from Bethesda’s E3 2018 press event were Fallout 76 and Wolfienstien Young Blood. Both games were announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, there was no mention of Nintendo Switch.
It was surprising due to the recent developing relationship between Bethesda and Nintendo. Bethesda released Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein for Switch recently which led us to believe something big will be announced for the device at E3. But as we now know, this wasn’t the case.
The good news is we may actually hear something soon in terms of what Bethesda’s plans are for Nintendo Switch. According to a recent interview with Panic Button’s Co-Founder and Director of Development, Adam Creighton, the studio is working on another big port for Nintendo Switch. Panic is the same studio that ported Doom and Wolfenstein The New Colossus.
This underdevelopment project could be announced as early as next month, he indicated. Which game they are planning to port is anyone’s guess but many are inclined toward Fallout 76 and Wolfenstein Young Blood.
Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG while the Young Blood is a story-driven project. Anyone of these games, or maybe both, could be announced for Nintendo Switch come July.
In other Bethesda news, the developer is also working on an original IP named “Starfield.” The game is a sci-fi RPG, a story-driven project that will release on current and next-gen gaming platforms. The game is scheduled to release sometime before The Elder Scrolls 6.
Which one of these games would you like to see on Switch? Let us know in the comments below.
