Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Makes It A First Person RPG Game

Since Cyberpunk 2077 finally got revealed at the Microsoft E3 conference two days ago, we’ve gotten a good bit of information about the game, such as its setting, and now the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. The game will apparently be a first person RPG game, something that CD Projekt RED hasn’t done before.

Pretty much all of the games that the studio has released before were action RPGs, and all of them were in third person besides, with swords and various tools like bombs and horses instead of guns.

Cyberpunk, by comparison, is a big departure from The Witcher games, which CD Projekt RED is most known for. Instead of a medieval style fantasy land, players will instead be traveling to the futuristic Night City, a crime-ridden metropolis that nevertheless holds a great deal of promise for anyone ambitious and clever enough to seize fortune for themselves.

From what we can see in the trailer, gunplay will be a big part of the game along with RPG elements, so players might be experiencing some sort of Deus Ex-like gameplay when the game releases, though Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay might still be pretty different in its own way.

Considering the identical cyberpunk settings of both Deus Ex and Cyberpunk itself, players can likely expect big criminal conspiracies, hacking computers, gunplay, and being able to explore the streets of Night City through your own “eyes”. Considering how big the environments in The Witcher were, and how crowded cities like Novigrad and Vizima were, plus the better tech this time around, Night City might be like being in an actual city.

Of course, until we get more Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay to see for ourselves, we can only speculate about what all we’re in for when the game releases. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have a release date yet, but we do know that it will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC when it does.
