Game Awards 2018 will take place on December 6th at 5:30 p.m Pacific time, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. This Game Award has always been one of the most anticipated game shows and after hearing the news, fans are very much excited to see which of their games will be making their way on the stage.
The producer of this show is Geoff Keighley, who has previously worked on this show’s predecessor, Spike Video Game Awards for over 10 years, said that the team has been working hard for this year’s show and they are very positive, that it shall be perhaps one of their biggest production ever.
“Our team is already deep into planning this year’s show, which will be our biggest production to date. We’re taking all the elements that worked last year and adding even more to the experience for fans in person and those watching at home all over the world. I can’t wait to share more soon!”
The Game Awards show initiated back in 2014 with a prime purpose to honor the best video game, esports, and figures in the industry. Over the years it has endured some pains but has managed to hold its ground solid hard and the success that 2017’s Game Awards saw, with over 200% increase in the live-streams compared to the previous years, it does seem like The Game Awards 2018 is definitely going to be big.
Talking about how huge it is going to be, we certainly can expect to see the likes of God Of War and Red Dead Redemption 2 this time around. What is even more exciting, is that you can also expect to see some new announcements and trailers during the event itself.
That said there are plenty of ways you can catch the live streaming. Some of the channels that will be hosting have been listed below.
- Facebook Live
- Twitter (yes, Twitter)
- PlayStation Store
Having said that, if you are looking for a guaranteed entry, then make sure you are available when the ticket sales begin on Friday, June 8th. Apart from that, the voting will be available on the official site of The Game Awards long before the show.
