We might not be getting another Batman title by Rocksteady after Arkham Knight, however, another superhero is getting its own fair of the spotlight. Rocksteady’s Superman is not yet announced but heavily rumored, however, if what was teased today is true then we might be seeing the game next week during E3 2018.
Back in November, when Rocksteady’s Superman has first been rumored and teased to be featured at Game Informer magazine, Game Informer executive editor Andrew Reiner has been quick to debunk it and laugh it off. However, the same editor has posted on Twitter that July’s issue cover is going to be a good one.
In response, a fan posted an image of Superman, in which Reiner responded with “He needs a new cape”. Could he be avoiding the question, pointing out his withered cape or actually know more about Rocksteady’s Superman?
A rumored description for Rocksteady’s Superman, which has been reported by ComicBook reads:
“The gameplay will demonstrate both flying and combat, as Superman will be able to soar through the air and take on both grounded and airborne enemies. In this particular case, he’ll be taking out some of Brainiac’s drones as they invade, possibly in a similar manner to Batman’s combat.”
Further rumors about the title come from 4Chan, which reveal that new Superman game is going to be set in the Arkhamverse. Furthermore, the game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 4 and is set in Metropolis. The city is three times bigger than Arkham Knight’s Gotham with plenty of more buildings. You can find more information about it here.
Since E3 2018 is right around the corner, we may see Rocksteady’s Superman at the event, which is a fair assumption to make at this point. Warner Bros is also revealing a new title this Thursday but we suppose it won’t be Superman but most likely a new Hitman video game.
