Your Nintendo Switch Online Membership Can be Pre-Ordered, Will Start on 30th September

Not so long ago, Nintendo announced that their online subscription for Nintendo Switch which will come at the end of this year with some surprises. There wasn’t a release date yet for Nintendo Switch Online but according to the recent listing on Amazon UK, it will start in September.

Amazon UK has started taking pre-orders here for the Nintendo Switch Online membership. There are two options available which are going to cost you £19.99 for 12-month membership and £7.99 for a 3-month membership.

The page mentions that your code will be delivered to you on 30th September midnight which is possibly the moment when the service will go live.

Interestingly these memberships for 12 months and 3 months are more expensive than the original mentioned prices by Nintendo.

The release date is not confirmed so we will have to wait for the official announcement by Nintendo. We also suggest you to wait to see if the memberships appear at their previously mentioned prices.

If you don’t know. Nintendo Switch online membership is quite similar to Xbox One Live or PlayStation Plus memberships and also includes family membership which now available for registration.

One of the amazing features it brings is the storage of data online with the ability to send its backups directly to the cloud. Which means you can backup your data to avoid corruption or losing some important game saves you have.

Nintendo is also giving away free NES games when the service launches later this year. At launch, the Nintendo Switch Online will include free access to 20 NES games which include Tennis, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Soccer, Super Mario Bros, Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros. 3, Donkey Kong and Ice Climber.

This service will allow users to take advantage of online features of any game, as well as the Nintendo Switch smartphone app which is used for voice chat.
