Call of Duty Black Ops 4 zombies will have a season pass and it is going to offer two maps per DLC. Black Ops 4 is rumored to not feature a season pass but instead go with a live service model for its multiplayer mode. But the zombies section of the game is reportedly offering a season pass with additional maps.
The multiplayer mode will get free DLC but the story is different for the zombies mode. Two maps will release per DLC as part of the season pass. However, those not interested in the zombie DLC can enjoy 3 major zombies experienced at release as part of the main game.
- IX, which is set in an ancient era gladiatorial arena
- Voyage of Despair, set in a trans-Atlantic cruise ship
- Blood of the Dead, which takes place in a prison
Black Ops 4 zombies map features time travel and same characters will be playable on all maps. But with the season pass DLC, we may see other characters as well in addition to new maps. Since contents of the zombie season pass are unknown, we will have to wait until E3 2018.
But leaks have already started surfacing; according to a new leak there are 17 different multiplayer maps in the game and all of them are free at launch. While that is exciting news, one of the maps may actually create a major controversy.
The game features a college campus map which is insensitive to the recent school shootings in Florida and Santa Fe.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC is releasing on October 12. Pre-orders are now live and will give access to the private beta.
