While Computex 2018 is just a day away from start but MSI has kicked it off early, kind of, by announcing its MSI GT75 Titan 8RG gaming laptop that comes equipped with Intel Core i9 and GTX 1080 which makes it one of the most powerful gaming laptops out there.
The MSI GT75 Titan 8RG gaming laptop features the latest Core i9 mobile CPU with 6 cores/12 threads.
As for the display, the consumers have two options either they can get this laptop with a 1080p display with a 122 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time or can go for the 4K display with 100% Adobe RGB.
In the RAM department, consumers can get this gaming laptop with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. You can check out the full specifications here.
Speaking of gaming laptops, Samsung has announced that it has started to mass produce 10 mn-Class 32 GB DDR4 SoDIMMs for gaming laptops. According to Samsung, it is “creating the industry’s first 32-gigabyte DDR4 memory,” in the SoDIMMs form factor.
Not only that, Samsung has doubled the capacity which will result in more efficient processing. Samsung further noted that 0 mn-Class 32 GB DDR4 SoDIMMs are 11% fast compared to 16GB SoDIMMs and is 39% more energy efficient in overall desktop operations.
In related news, Intel has announced the Intel Xeon Gold 6138P with integrated Arria 10 FPGA.
Intel has announced that it has started mass producing the Intel Xeon Gold 6138P and has also started to ship out the CPU units to suppliers, meaning we will soon start to see these processors in the market.
This Intel Xeon Gold 6138P processor comes with “Arria 10 GX 1150” FPGA and features I/O bandwidth of up to 160Gbps per slot.
