After teasing the world for nearly two days via a live video, Bethesda has revealed their newest Fallout title by the name of Fallout 76. This announcement comes at a very critical time when the E3 is just 2 weeks away.
However, the fans have been speculated a lot about the game. The teaser trailer that was revealed shows very little information about the game but we have collected everything there is to know about the game and have detailed them below for you.
Everything About Fallout 76
Bethesda will announce more about game details at the E3 conference on Jun. 10, 2018. We will continue to update this article with more game information as Bethesda releases it.
For the time being, you can check out everything that is available about Fallout 76. You can view the game’s teaser trailer below:
The most important thing here is when and where will the game take place. Previous fallout titles have been set in different years and in different vaults. From the teaser trailer, one thing is for sure that Fallout 76 is going to take place in Vault 76.
Vault 76 is not new to the Fallout games, as it has been mentioned many times before in previous games as well.
Vault 76 is going to be the main vault in Fallout 76 and we can see a person getting ready after wearing a Vault 76 jacket and a Pip-Boy. Vault 76 was set to open after 20 years after the bomb droppings.
This makes the Fallout 76 to be the most recent game after the bombings so it means that the world will have much higher radioactivity than other games.
We can also see that the person getting ready to leave the vault is wearing a wire connected to some sort of a device.
This could be some sort of advanced protective gear against nuclear radiations since the game is set much nearer to the bomb explosions. The song being played during the trailer is Country Roads, which states West Virginia.
This could be a potential location of the game. During the trailer, we can also see some sort of Reclamation Day is going on after which the vault will open and people will finally go out and explore the devastated world.
Vault 76 is one of the seventeen control vaults in the Fallout universe and it was meant to open after 20 years but if you see the trailer, the date of the Reclamation Day is actually set after 25 years.
This could mean that due to some sort of a problem, the vault is now opening after 25 years rather than the pre-set 20 years.
Recently, Kotaku stated that they have been informed by different sources that Fallout 76 is going to be an online game and will be following the lines of Rust or DayZ.
This means that if this is true, Bethesda is trying out a completely new direction for the Fallout franchise.
Kotaku further states that the sources did mention that the game would still have a single player story and quests like in a normal Fallout game. It will also have base building similar to Fallout 4’s settlement building.
Finally, they have also hinted that the game might not even release this year.
At this moment, it is too early to say anything about the game. We are hoping that Bethesda will clear all of this confusion and answer our questions during their E3 conference.
We will update this guide with confirmed information as Bethesda announces it.
Currently, we do not have a confirmed release date of Fallout 76. Bethesda will most probably announce the release date during their E3 conference as well.
However, we are speculating that the release date of Fallout 4 could be either Fall 2018 or Spring 2019.
A short frame in the teaser trailer shows the date on the Pip-Boy to be October 27, 2102. Oct. 27 could be the launch date of the game but we cannot be sure at this point.
We are hoping that Bethesda will give us a confirmed launch date at their E3 2018 conference.
Similar to the release date, Bethesda did not announce the platforms of the game as well.
Fallout 4 was the last installment in the franchise and it was launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC so we are sure that these will be confirmed consoles for Fallout 76 as well.
It might get added support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X with more graphic detail. We must not forget that Bethesda launched some titles on Nintendo Switch as well so we will not put Nintendo Switch out of the question.
Fallout 76 might be the first Fallout game to ever come on a Nintendo console.
Let us know your thoughts about the new Fallout 76. Are you excited about the game and will you be buying the game if it is indeed an online game like the rumors are stating it to be.
