If you are a soccer fan, you would only know about two games that have been in the industry for a long time which includes FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Though Pro Evolution Soccer was on top for years until FIFA came with better licenses. Today, PES has suffered another loss.
This another loss was announced by Konami on their official site, where they stated that the German club Borussia Dortmund has terminated its licensing agreement with the company a year ahead of schedule.
This means that one of the top teams that is Borussia Dortmund from Bundesliga will not appear anymore in PES 2019 which has shocked many fans once again.
Konami announced it by saying:
”This notice is made in relation to the license for “PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2019.
Borussia Dortmund was included in some of the promotional assets of “PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2019”. Please note however, that it can unfortunately not be included in the product.
KONAMI and Borussia Dortmund had a license agreement with respect to the use of Borussia Dortmund’s logos, players, stadium and other features in KONAMI products until June 2020. However, this agreement was prematurely terminated by Borussia Dortmund. KONAMI will not include Borussia Dortmund’s logos, players, stadium and other features in “PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2019”.
Afterward, Konami assured PES fans by saying that the PES series will continue to provide new ways to enjoy soccer by having new partnerships with various clubs and leagues.
This is another major loss for the PES series. If you don’t know let me tell you that the world famous teams like Manchester City or Manchester United are not available to play in PES.
If you want to play with Manchester City, Manchester United or Borussia Dortmund in the future, FIFA 19 is your only chance.
PES 2019 is scheduled to release on August 28, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
