Rumor: Shadows Die Twice Is Less Linear Compared To Souls Games, Details Leak

Shadow Die Twice, a game rumored to be Bloodborne 2, is going to be more open-ended compared to Souls game. As you know, the game was teased back in 2017 during The Game Awards. Many believed it is Bloodborne 2 but reports say otherwise.

It is a new IP in development at From Software and it is going to be showcased at E3 2018. The leak comes from a 4chan post where a user posted about the game’s story as well. Apparently, Shadows Die Twice follows the story of a cult that’s using innocent farmers for dark experimentation. As a result, vicious creatures have emerged from the shadows. Most of the cult members have vanished, only a few remain.

Compared to the Souls games, in terms of gameplay and atmosphere, the is title is very similar but more open-ended and is going to have a direct story to it. Souls players will know that those games don’t feature a direct story and most of the lore is in items and NPC dialogues.

The gameplay is a mix of Bloodborne and a classic PS2 game called Kuon. But it is also being compared to Nioh. There are no shields in the game but enemies will lose limbs during battle. And you can also block and counter. No multiplayer invasions are apart of the game but you can take control of other monsters in the game and use them to your advantage.

For more details, you can visit the 4chan post above. Expect a full reveal at E3 2018 most probably at Sony’s press event. Sony’s E3 2018 press event is set for June 11 where Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, and Spiderman PS4, and The Last of Us II will appear.
