Ring of Elysium vs. PUBG and Fortnite – Differences And Similarities, Which One To Play

It may very well seem like the Battle Royale market is quite saturated, but that does not mean that it will deter newcomers from trying to get a meaty piece of the share. Ring of Elysium is just one of the newcomers which is hailed to be by few as the PUBG killer and by many as a game which almost entirely clones the game.

Today, we will take a look at some of the ways in which the games are similar and some of the ways in which they are different from one another. Today, we look at Ring of Elysium vs. PUBG and Fortnite.

How Ring of Elysium Sets Itself Apart from PUBG and Fortnite

Ring of Elysium is currently not available in any region except Thailand. However, it has decided to go the Free to Play route in order to mimic the success of Fortnite.

The game will probably be released in other regions soon enough, and it will be interesting to see how it fares up with the other industry giants. Let’s go ahead and take a look at how the developers of the game are trying to set themselves apart, or whether or not they are even trying at all.

How is Ring of Elysium Different?

The first thing that you need to know is the fact that Ring of Elysium only has 60 players as opposed to 100 players that PUBG and Fortnite have. This means that battles in the game will be shorter and will have more fights than the other ones.

This is helped by the fact the game’s map has a lot more loot with a gun being found in almost every single building.

One more way in which Ring of Elysium is different from its counterparts is the fact that the game is only in 3rd person. This is akin to Fortnite but different from PUBG.

Since the game’s mechanics are almost identical to PUBG, this means that people will be able to take the advantages that come up with the extended FOV.

The dynamic Weather Effects will also be playing a massive part in the game. This means that the day might fade into the night during the course of the battle and you might need to find yourself some Night Vision Goggles.

As a person who played ARMA 3 Battle Royale extensively, I can tell you there is no bigger rush than being among the last few people alive in an ever-shrinking circle with nothing to guide you but the headlights of her car.

As far as the cosmetics are concerned, you will also be able to rent clothes for a shorter amount of time. You will still have the option to purchase them indefinitely if you want, but the added option to try out a certain piece of clothing before you buy it is still a tantalizing prospect to have.

Ring of Elysium can only be played through obscure ways unless you are from Thailand.

However, the gameplay that we have seen so far seems interesting enough and the system requirements are low enough for this game to have a decent chance as it faces up to its rivals. It will be interesting to see how the Battle Royale Triple Threat plays out.
