Nioh Has Sold Over 2 Million Copies Worldwide, Are You Still Playing?

Nioh was launched last year and still continues to sell well which was the first take on RPG genre by the Team Ninja.

Team Ninja announced the achievement on Twitter by telling that Nioh has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide which is due to the unique mixing of Ninja Gaiden gameplay and Dark Souls difficulty.

This number refers to both physical and digital sales which are great despite being the first take on a role-playing game by Team Ninja.

Koei Tecmo has had a shallow player base with respect to Dynasty Warriors and Dead or Alive series but thanks to the commercial recognition and successes of Nioh, Koei Tecmo just entered the AAA games space.

Hisashi Koinuma the president of Koei Tecmo at an event talked about the company’s recent success and gave credit to the success of Nioh.

Nioh was launched on PS4 with a season pass which included 3 post-launch DLC and received a huge audience. The PC version of the game was released through Steam later in November 2017 which was called the complete edition and it included all of the post-launch content including every update it received.

The game looks beautiful as it runs on 60 FPS and supports High dynamic range while running on the PS4 Pro.

Due to the success, Nioh has received, it is possible that Ninja will work on the series and start a trilogy.

Hisashi Koinuma has also said that Nintendo Switch is something that is very appropriate for the Japanese and European so plans to work with Nintendo for more Switch content.

If you haven’t played the game on PC for a long time then this is the time as it has now included the support for keyboard and mouse in the latest update.
