Two weeks remain before FIFA World Cup 2018 starts in Russia, however, EA Sports took the opportunity to simulate the competition in FIFA 18 and predict which country would win the world cup. Turns out FIFA 18 has predicted that France will be the country to take the world cup trophy home.
According to the FIFA 18 World Cup 2018 simulation, Portugal was defeated by Uruguay in the “Round of 16”. Furthermore, England lost due to failed penalty shootout attempt in the “Round of 16”.
France, Spain, Germany and Belgium made it to the semi-finals and Antoine Griezmann’s Les Bleus was the best player of the tournament and the top scorer too.
As for the Golden Trophy, Manchester United’s David de Gea took the trophy home in the FIFA 18 simulation. In the end, France took the title of the FIFA World Cup 2018 champion. You can check out the full summary of the simulation here.
Speaking of FIFA, EA Sports will be rolling FIFA 18 World Cup DLC in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup and EA has confirmed that FIFA 18 World Cup DLC content will be free for all and the DLC will be rolling out on May 29, 2018.
FIFA 18 World Cup update or DLC will include stadiums, kits and official team badges that will be present in official FIFA World Cup. Not only that team badges for four teams will also be included that didn’t qualify for the World Cup.
Not only, the FIFA Ultimate Team will also get updated with the World Cup update that will include new icons and players will be able to create their dream team consisting of greatest FIFA players even from the past ones.
Furthermore, EA is considering ditching annual FIFA releases in favor of subscription-based model.
