Detroit: Become Human Beginners Guide
Although not the type of games to focus most on challenging gameplay, there is still a lot of other tasks that can easily become messed up or even missed in their entirety.
You may follow some useful tips below to make sure you have uncovered every bit of story, went out of your way to know everything about a character and eventually manage to get the whole story experience that David Cage intended:
- Decisions and Consequences
- Finding Collectibles
A game that depends so much on the evidence and clues you collect, taking your time exploring everything around you is essential.
Even if you played the demo for the game, you would know how crucial analyzing the crime scene was for solving the Hostage situation with Connor.
Most of the scenarios in the game will not be timed, so you could freely and at your own pace, discover and interact with objects.
These will give you hints at a character’s backstory, while others will help you in figuring out a key in your ultimate decisions to save lives and prevent deaths.
By pressing the R2 button on your Dualshock 4, you can analyze various environments to highlight points of interests and objects you can interact with. This will help you get a better sense of how you could go about exploring your surroundings.
Decisions and Consequences
More than anything else, Detroit: Become Human like its predecessors is a game where you make terrifying and incredible choices.
These include actions or dialogue options which has the potential of determining a character’s fate and changing the course of the game. With such weight on your shoulder almost every chapter, there is a high chance you will panic and screw up.
Of course, there is no right or wrong choice. Everything is morally grey and your ethics and sense of justice will decide what has to happen to each character. Choose the options that suit your playstyle and reflect your thinking.
Of course, you do not have to kick yourself too hard if you did not manage to get the desired result as a consequence of your choice. You can replay the chapter multiple times and follow different paths to attain different conclusions.
A chapter will read 100% when you managed to attain All Possible Endings and Grab all Collectibles and clues in the vicinity of that chapter.
You can find pieces of information all around Detroit. These include Newspapers and Magazines which will provide the valuable info prior to the game’s events and thus paint a clearer image and understanding of the world of Detroit.
These collectibles can be found in all sorts of random places ranging from kitchen counters to bench near the bus-stop sign. You just have to pick a magazine for it to appear in the Options menu. You can go back to it later at your will!
Remember, reading all the magazines will help you earn the ‘Bookworm’ trophy. Note that you need to read both covers of the magazine for your progress to be counted for the trophy as well as scroll down to go through the entire page.
