Rumor: Dying Light 2 Will Be Announced At E3 2018

Dying Light is without doubt, one of the best zombie games we have ever played. The Techland title was a huge success and received a positive response from the players and critics by having well-crafted environments, gameplay mechanics, and one of the best graphics in a zombie game. That being said, everyone is already expecting a sequel and we might get one according to a recent rumor.

This rumor comes from an article published on a Polish website “graczpospolita”, which tells us that Techland has been working on a sequel of Dying Light for a long time and has intentions to make an announcement of Dying Light 2 at the E3 2018 next month in Los Angeles.

Article reads:

Currently, the studio focuses on the preparation of a high-quality trailer to be presented at the upcoming E3 fairs in Los Angeles (12-14 June). When asked about the release of Dying Light: Bad Blood, which focuses on the multiplayer game in the style of battle royale, is the chance to develop it in Dying Light 2, I heard that “it is very likely”. Bad Blood is to be the first real test for this mode in the DL world. I also received confirmation that it was delayed with the announcement, because the first part of Dying Light is still supported and the team focuses on the mentioned Bad Blood. It sounds completely logical.

Other than Dying Light 2 it appears that Techland is preparing for the reveal of Batte Royale mode which has been in talks for a long time and will probably expand into Dying light 2 too.

The game is still getting post-launch support with add-ons like Bad Blood which makes us question Dying Light 2 this early. Well, we can take this with a grain of salt as Techland has yet to openly reveal the sequel of Dying Light.

We can hope to see Dying Light 2 reveal at E3 next month because E3 is always full of surprises.
