Devil May Cry 5 Rumored To Be Present At E3 2018

It’s been a long time since we heard news about the Devil May Cry franchise. After the release of Devil May Cry HD Collection a few months ago, the next step for Capcom is to announce Devil May Cry 5. Truth is, that scenario might be true as a rumor suggests.

The rumor, even small as it is, may be a hint of Devil May 5 actually being present at E3 2018. Daniel Southworth, actor and voice actor who lent his voice to Vergil in Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening, today shared a photo on his Facebook page which, looks like a heartfelt reunion but could also be cryptic.

In the photo published by Southworth, we see the actor in the company of Hideaki Itsuno, director of Devil May Cry 3 Dante’s Awakening and Devil May Cry 4, and Reuben Langdon stuntman and dubber who played Dante in the same chapters of the series. Below the picture, we can read the words “E3” and “motion capture” so it could actually mean something more.

Devil May Cry has been rumored to release somewhere in 2019 for almost a year now. As our previous Devil May Cry rumor story states, originally DMCV was intended to be announced at PSX but after receiving feedback on their E3 press conference, Sony decided to scale back on PSX and instead scale up E3 2018.

Hideki Kamiya, creator of original Devil May Cry has posted his thoughts on Twitter regarding the direction that the rumored Devil May Cry 5 should take. Kamiya hasn’t been involved with the latest installments of Devil May Cry but that hasn’t stopped him from sharing his insights on the series saying that the franchise could use a full mode change.

Do you believe Devil May Cry 5 might be present at E3 2018? Which other Capcom titles would you want to see announced?
