State Of Decay 2 Frame Rate Test Reveals Bad Fame Pacing On Xbox One And Xbox One X

State Of Decay 2 has launched for Xbox One and PC with a lukewarm reception from critics and gamers alike. Let us see how the game fares in terms of performance on Xbox One and Xbox One X and the State Of Decay 2 frame rate test reveals bad frame pacing on both consoles.

In the video below you can see the State Of Decay 2 frame rate test, courtesy of VG Tech, reveals the differences between the Xbox One and Xbox one X version in terms of frame rate and frame pacing.

State of Decay 2 frame rate tests reveals some interesting things like the Xbox One X version of the game is locked at 30 FPS while the Xbox One version of the game runs around 35-40 FPS.

Furthermore, the frame pacing is all over the place as you can see the Xbox One X version is running between 30-31 FPS which introduces micro stuttering in the game.

However, the Xbox One version of the game that runs at unlocked frame rate has even worse frame pacing. Not only that, the Xbox One X version of the game also drops to 26 FPS.

With everything said and done, the game is a mess in terms of performance and it is having a hard time maintaining steady FPS and the frame pacing is just bad.

This is despite Xbox One X version using the dynamic resolution which allows the game to render between 2688×2160 and 3840×2160 to keep a steady frame rate and still it fails to do so.

As for the Xbox One version of the game, it renders at 1536×864 resolution which quite low. Seems like the game is very unoptimized for Xbox One.
