Here Is Red Dead Redemption Running At 8K Resolution

Red Dead Redemption released exclusively for last-gen consoles and while gamers are able to play the game at 4K on Xbox One X through backward compatibility but none have been able to run the game at 8K resolution.

As you can see in the video below, courtesy of UHDGaming, the game is being rendered at 8K, however, this is a fan-made remake of Red Dead Redemption on Unreal Engine 4.

Despite being a last-gen game, Red Dead Redemption is still a beautiful looking game but this fan-made remake of the game running at 8K (7680×4320) is a thing of beauty.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled to launch later this year as a console exclusive, however, Take-Two has not ruled out the possibility for the game to release on PC.

Take-Two has neither confirmed it or denied the game’s release on PC but says that PC is important. According to the company, the PC version of the game will only be confirmed by Rockstar Games.

It really depends on the title. Some titles are actually heavily weighted to PC, for example, Civilization and XCOM, [but] some titles are less weighted to PC. The great news is that the PC market is vibrant for us. It’s a great market. It’s a big market. It’s a core market.

Not only that, Take-Two Interacive expects to make a lot of records with the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2. According to CEO Strauss Zelnick, the company expect the fiscal year 2019 to be another record year and mainly becase of the upcoming title.

We expect fiscal 2019 to be another year of profitable growth for Take-Two, including both record Net Bookings and record net cash provided by operating activities, led by the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 along with new annual releases from NBA 2K and WWE 2K.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world action adventure game in development at Rockstar Games and is scheduled to launch on October 26, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
