Graphics Cards Prices Are Down Again But Should You Buy Now Or Wait Further?

Graphics cards prices are headed down due to the low returns on cryptocurrency mining. It is safe to say that the mining bubble has popped and there is little to no motivation for miners to continue to mine cryptocurrency. Multiple AIB partners have reported a decline in graphics cards sales of up to 80%. This is good for gamers as there will be a wide variety of graphics cards available on the market.

Graphics Cards Prices Are Down Again

Exclusive AMD partner PowerColor has reported a decline of 80% in graphics cards sales. While both Nvidia and AMD had a great first quarter both companies have predicted a decline in graphics cards sales. The following are the changes in pricing in recent days compared to December of last year. You can see that the prices are down as compared to last year.

Nvidia has also released a new shipment of graphics cards and if you are interested in buying graphics cards at MSRP then you can click here to check out all the deals that you can take advantage of.

Should You Buy Now Or Wait?

There is never really a good time to pick up a graphics card because there is always something new in the works or around the corner. If you already own a Pascal card then waiting would be the best option as we have been hearing about new graphics cards from Nvidia. We are not sure whether or not Nvidia Volta based gaming graphics cards will be coming out this year and you can click here to find out more information about that.

If you have an older graphics card and are in the market for a new GPU then you can pick one up as graphics cards prices are down right now. But if you can wait then that would be a better option as prices can go down even further. Another thing to keep in mind is that if Nvidia Volta gaming graphics cards do come out then the Pascal-based graphics cards prices will decrease even more.  That would make cards like the GTX 1070 Ti of the GTX 1080 great value for money.

Let us know what you think about graphics cards prices coming down and whether or not you think graphics cards prices are low enough for you to consider getting a new graphics card.
