The Division 2 DLC Will Be Coming Faster Than The First Game’s

The Division 2 DLC will apparently be coming out faster than the first game's DLC, and there will apparently be more content in general.

The Division 2 DLC will be coming out faster post-launch than it did when the first game released, according to a new statement by Ubisoft during a financial call. That’s notable, considering that the game will be releasing alongside other games like The Crew 2 and an as-of-yet unannounced title in 2019.

The Division 2 will be the sequel to the original Division, and will likely continue the story as the United States struggles to restore order in the aftermath of a biological terrorist attack that spread a deadly plague on Black Friday. While we might be getting more of the same factions as we try and retake Manhattan, hopefully there will be new stuff in as well.

In addition to making sure that The Division 2 DLC comes out faster, there will also be more of it. That’s going to be building on the larger amount of launch content that will be in the game when it first releases, which Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said was in response to how quickly content was consumed in the original game.

The original Division game only had three pieces of post-launch DLC, mainly in the form of Underground, Last Stand, and Survival. Underground opened up a new area in the sewers of Manhattan, while Survival and Last Stand added in two new game modes, and were actually delayed to help address some of the game’s chief concerns.

If The Division 2 lives up to its hype, the game might end up taking the place of Destiny 2, which has been having a similar amount of criticism to the original Division over lackluster DLC (including multiple story missions being repurposed into Strikes), over-reliance on microtransactions, and weapon adjustments that are geared more towards PVP balance than anything PVE related.

Either way, you’ll be able to see the Division 2 DLC when the game comes out in 2019 on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
