Take-Two Expects To Make Records With Red Dead Redemption 2

Take-Two has revealed its fiscal year earnings for the year ended March 31, 2018, and it shows us that the publisher had an amazing year by having titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and according to them the future looks no different with the upcoming release of Red Dead Redemption 2.

The company has been earning a lot from flagships titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and NBA 2K18 which are their main stable source of income including game sales and in-game transactions. The publisher revealed revenue of $450.3 million in the period.

Other than that CEO Strauss Zelnick expects fiscal 2019 to be another record year for the company because of the release of their upcoming game Red Dead Redemption 2.

Strauss Zelnick said:

”We expect fiscal 2019 to be another year of profitable growth for Take-Two, including both record Net Bookings and record net cash provided by operating activities, led by the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 along with new annual releases from NBA 2K and WWE 2K. We will also continue to support our titles with offerings designed to drive engagement and recurrent consumer spending. The highly-anticipated title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises, which had been planned for release during the current fiscal year, is now planned for launch during fiscal 2020 to allow for additional development time. We remain as excited as ever about this title and expect it to enhance our results next fiscal year”

The game has been delayed before few times and will finally be made available to everyone on 26 October.

An interesting mention was made by Strauss Zelnick about a highly-anticipated game which has now been delayed till 2020 which tells us that the company doesn’t want Red Dead Redemption 2 to face any competition on its debut.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is expected to be one of the best games ever and we recently got a look at some new screenshots from the game which showed us different characters including John Marston and more.

We are also getting more than one edition of the game this time which might include posters, figures, some exclusive DLC or maybe a PS4 Pro edition.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on October 26 for PS4 and Xbox One.
