Since this is a rumor, we recommend you take this with a grain of salt. Having said that, it seems like Retro Studios may have been working on Star Fox Grand Prix for Nintendo Switch. Considering, E3 is approaching fast, there have been various rumors regarding Star Fox Grand Prix.

Star Fox Grand Prix is said to be a spin-off racing game which has been linked to Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero. Provided if this rumor of the game, is true, then we can surely expect an Adventure mode, boss fights and a hub world to soar around.

This rumor originates, from a Reddit user DasVergeben, who writes;”What Retro Studios is working on is a spinoff based on an existing Nintendo IP that they haven’t worked with before…. Star Fox”.

This rumor was also backed by someone on 4chan who exclaimed to this saying,”all true” alongside he posted a logo of Star Fox.

Back in 2017 developers of Star Fox did share their interest in making new Star Fox Games For Nintendo Switch, but we never got to hear, a go ahead.

It has been four years since Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze rolled out in Wii U and at that time, the producer Kensuke Tanabe did confirm that Retro Studio was working in a new game. Adding to that the president and the CEO Michael Kelbaugh added that the new development was in development for a few months.

After that, there has been utter silence about what that project was? which the developers had underway.

Now since we are days away, from the E3 presentation of Nintendo, and if this rumor turns out to be true, we are then sure to learn more about Star Fox Grand Prix.

With all that said, as mentioned before, we recommend you to hold your horses on this rumor, and wait at least until E3 to know what comes of this.
