11 Bit Studios is known for working games that have a strong emotional impact. This War of Mine and Frostpunk are two very narrative driven-compelling games. And 11 Bit Studios plan to expand on these experience via both free and paid content updates.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be working on future projects for the time being. In fact, the studio is working on a yet to be announced game, codenamed “Project 8.” According to 11-Bit Studios, “Project 8” is very different from what we have come to expect from the developers. It is not only different but they consider it to be an extraordinary experience.
The philosophy of creation at 11-bit studios can be underlined in „Make your mark” sentence. That’s what we’d like to give players with each game – something special, a mark. Be it story, be it emotional rollercoaster or outstanding gameplay loop. And our next project, called „Project 8” under working title, is something completely different to This War of Mine and to Frostpunk but I strongly believe it is an extraordinary experience. Still, there’s a ton of work to be done before I can unveil any further details.
When and how they plan to showcase their new game remains to be seen. But they have confirmed that the development team won’t appear at E3 2018. It seems the title is in very early stages of developments. Before Project 8, they are releasing Moonlighter later this month.
Frostpunk is available right now on PC but the console version is hitting digital storefronts later this year, minus the Nintendo Switch version.
