Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Friendship Guide – All Friends, How To Level Up Friendships

Hogwarts is just not only for practicing magic and for uncovering mysteries; it is also about the people who populate it. Our Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Friendship Guide will help you in all those precious interactions and help you level up friendships.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Friendship

Making friends in the game will help you unlock a tonne of hidden story content as well as other rewards. You can befriend most of the students as you progress through the Main Story. Others are chance encounters.

Some may also require you to spend some coins before the interactions can be unlocked. All characters you form friendly relations with will carry unique personalities and attributes. As of now, they are x7 students you can befriend in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.

Rowan Khanna will be your first friend during year-1 when you acquire your very own wand. Rowan will be a ‘she’ or a ‘he’ depending on the gender of your chosen character. Rowan will also belong to the same house as that of the main character.

While in year-1 only, you will also be able to befriend Ben Copper who will belong to House Gryffindor and Penny Haywood belonging to House Hufflepuff. The only character that you can become friends with in year-2 is Bill Weasley – Ron’s eldest brother.

Graduating to year-3, you can partner up with Nymphadora Tonks and Tulip Karasu. Lastly, there is an NPC by the name Barnaby Lee that we do not know how to befriend yet. Hopefully, we will discover some way of doing so as we play more.

Leveling Up Friendships

As you interact and engage in more conversations with these friends of yours, you will be able to level up the friendship. This will grant you Gems upon each new level and also the possibility of partnering up with these friends on certain quests.

One way of doing this is by completing the handshake quests. These are objectives marked by a handshake icon above the friend’s head. Although these are brief conversations, the dialogue options can be tricky.

However, if you know your friend really well, you will be able to answer the questions in a way that suits your allies and their personalities.

Additionally, you can make sure to level your own stats and attributes so you can unlock more dialogue options for these handshake quest conversations. That way, you will be guarantee to answer with a dialogue that satisfies and relates with the particular friend.

For a hand in these conversations and picking out the right answer, you can head to our Social Questions Guide at the page.
